Blooming Balloons was started in September of 2006 by Lisa Swiger and her mother, Judy Geiger.

Lisa had learned to twist balloons for fun and thought it would be a dream job to create balloon sculptures for a living. Judy provided the driving force to add decor to the mix and together, they worked as a home-based business for two years before moving into a wonderful storefront location in September of 2008.

Lisa has earned several awards for her balloon design work, into two 1st place awards for decor from Betallic, a leading balloon manufacturer. In June 2009, Lisa was honored to receive The Treb Heining Pioneer Visionary Scholarship by Pioneer Balloon Company and will use the scholarship to fund her trip to Balloon Camp in August 2009. Our work has also been published in Balloon Images Magazine.

Lisa will earn her CBA in August of this year, while Judy plans to earn her CBA in November. The CBA, or Certified Balloon Artist, is a rigorous certification program to train balloon professionals in their craft. It involves several online tests and a 4 hour practical exam conducted by leaders in the balloon industry. The CBA certification program is the most respected
certification program in the balloon industry, and it means you are working with a thoroughly trained and knowledgeable balloon professional.
